SMS Opt-In / Call-to-Action (CTA)

Leak Stop / Throughline · Public description for reviewers and customers · Last updated: September 22, 2026

This page describes how end users provide express consent to receive transactional / customer-care SMS from Leak Stop / Throughline. Brand contact: jack@throughlinetrades.com · Website: throughlinetrades.com.

Program overview

Leak Stop sends SMS about a customer’s service request (missed-call follow-up, appointment scheduling, and status updates). Messages are transactional / customer-care — not advertising blasts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out; reply HELP for help. Mobile numbers are not shared with third parties / not sold for marketing (see Privacy Policy).

Path 1 — Verbal / inbound call (primary)

  1. The customer calls Leak Stop / Throughline (or an HVAC shop using Leak Stop) about a service request.
  2. The agent obtains express verbal consent to send transactional / customer-care SMS about that service request (for example missed-call follow-up, appointment, and status updates).
  3. The agent discloses that message frequency varies and that message and data rates may apply, and that the customer can reply STOP to opt out later.
  4. The agent points the customer to our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms (links above) when asked or as part of the consent script.
  5. Consent is recorded in the shop’s notes / CRM for that service request before outbound program texts are sent.

Path 2 — Website (optional secondary)

If a website form or checkbox opt-in is offered on throughlinetrades.com or a shop site using Leak Stop, checking an unchecked consent box (or equivalent clear affirmative action) and submitting a mobile number constitutes opt-in to the same transactional / customer-care SMS program, with the same frequency, rates, STOP/HELP, Privacy Policy, and Terms disclosures.

Today the primary CTA path is Path 1 (verbal consent on an inbound service call). This page is the public, crawlable description of that CTA for carriers and messaging reviewers. A website checkbox/form may be added later; until then, Path 1 is how consent is obtained.
